I'm looking at the Zepto 6214, with the Core 2 Duo, Go7600
vs. Asus W3V (Core2 Duo, MR X1600 when Merom upgrade comes through -not yet shipping),
vs. Asus A8Js (Core2 Duo, Go7700 -yet to be released -if at all in Europe??)
vs. Asus A8jp (Core2 Duo, MR X1700 also yet to be released -possibly European version of A8Js?)

Aside from build quality (keyboard doesnt sound too good), my main concerns with going zepto are the warranty not being international. I'm currently in the UK, but may head back to NZ in a year, and need to know whether I will get warranty support from NZ. If UK support is as bad as it is seems on this forum I'm hesitent to deal through them at all - I can already imagine the headaches of getting support from Auckland let alone London!

Can I order directly through Zepto Denmark, even though I'm in the UK? Anyone done this?

That Asus A8Js looks really good i must have completly missed it when looking :( and if you get all the specs listed on this review http://laptopmag.com/Review/Asus-A8Js.htm (2Ghz C2D, 2Gb Ram, etc) for $1,499 :O if i was still buying i would probably wait for that if you can..

EDIT: then again it is fugly http://www.laptopblog.org/entry/asus-a8js-geared-by-merom-and-nvidia-geforce-7700-introduced/ the middle pic and the one used on the other review are 17" i think and the screen has more pixels so even though the gpu is more powerfull it has to display more pixels, i think that 1280x786 is fine for a 14.1" screen.. i think i am tring to convince myself that i have not made a large mistake... also my old 17" notebook was 1440x900 and it was a pain having to mod config files etc to get games to use the whole screen at least with 1280x768 you have native 4:3 support (1024x768) the height being the same.. your choise but after thinking more about it i have decided i would still buy the zepto because if your unit is not defective you can run very cool/quietly which is quite important for me

    EDIT2: official product page Asus A8js http://www.asus.com/products4.aspx?l1=5&l2=26&l3=270&model=1373&modelmenu=1

EDIT3: as for the international warrenty it does not mention whever or not it is international on the zepto uk configurator, try to contct one of the zepto reps who spmetims visit these forums
