Hi, my screen is dying because the LCD panel starts to loose contacts one by one and 1/3px colored lines appear.
Could anybody suggest a good screen to replace the original one? I' have looked up LP154WU1 TL-B1, it looks the same on size, aspect ratios and CCFL count.
Unfortunately I don’t know if it'll fit just like this. Is there more to be purchased with it to work? Maybe invertor, screen video cable?

For most 15.4" panels, the dimensions and the screw locations for the panel/hinge assembly should be standard and match up. Also the LVDS data cable connector on the panel side is standard. It will actually be very difficult to find a replacement video cable, as the connections on the cpu side are usually proprietary. If your video cable isn't the cause of the problem, you can just use that for the new lcd.

As for the inverter, the connections are also pretty standard. Make sure that the power cable for the ccfl backlight in the lcd is 2 pin, and you should be able to use the same inverter as well.

Is that LP154WU1 a wuxga screen? Might want to make sure the data cable can handle 1920x1080, since the highest standard config option is only up to wsxga+.

Thank for your reply. How can I find out if my cable can handle Full HD?
I thought that that cable is something like DVI miniature version and as long as DVI can handle this can.

I should rephrase that. There are LVDS 1ch and 2ch cables. From what I heard, 2ch cables have more wires, possibly to support more bandwidth needed for higher resolutions?

You might want to check which LVDS the fl90 is and what the LG panel is. When I upgraded mine to wsxga+, I didn't research and fortunately everything worked out.

If you already have a wsxga lcd the cable will support wuxga too.

Well I can count pins on that, but as I remeber there is about 30 of them.
Not sure about the cable count, will check later.
