I received my IFL90 on thursday afternoon. Even though it says 'FL90' on the underside I still have the fingerprint reader etc.

    Here are some pics!

I've played a few games (BF, CS:S, insurgency) and they all run flawless.

And if you're looking for a way to run BF2 in widescreen I have a guide I can link to if you guys want :D

I really like this laptop. The screen is clear and bright, the wireless is strong, the 4 USB ports are godsend and the keyboard is pretty solid in my opinion.

The only thing I dislike is the switching of the CTRL and FN keys and my inability to get the heat sensitive media buttons to work. the trackpad is also quite responsive. Webcam quality is much higher than I expected also.

The fingerprint reader saves some time for us lazy/paranoid people.

Overall a purchase I do not regret.

Could you take a picture of a black screen so we can see the light leakage?

How exactly does the fingerprint reader work.. At the beginning of windows?

And if you lost your hands, is there a way to put in a code instead?

    It's actually a Logitech MX510.

I will take a pic of the black screen when I figure out how to shut off the LCD and leave the computer on.

And the FPR just replaces passwords so yes you can swipe instead of type in your password to sign on. I find it to be much faster than typing in the pass.

I think the first problem to solve after losing your hands would be to learn how to type with your toes.

I'm glad you said that the keyboard is "pretty solid" as it put to rest some of my anxiety after watching this v video

Nice shots, btw! Now, if only I could receive my notebook in the next year or so...

Absolutely. It is a sleek and stylish machine that doesn't draw a lot of attention. It packs a lot of power, not much weight, and I can barely hear it run in a totally silent room.

The keyboard is nice and crisp too I don't know what peoplne mean by 'flexible'

Watch the video on the first page and you will see what they mean by flexible. But that vid looks like one of the FL90

There's a little flex but nothing major. Certainly not any worse than the 3 Dells I've owned.

It has a little heft to it, but it is not cumbersome or difficult to carry at all.

How was your screen StoCom? I heard people complaining about dead pixels and stuff. Any on yours? Just a tad bit worried about it.

Mine is flawless too. I really like the screen. not as much light leakage as some Dells and Asus users are complaining about.

what do you guys think about the range of brightness settings? Mine's plenty bright at it's lowest setting, almost wish it would go a little dimmer, for viewing in really low light.

Have you tried playing with the wow video settings? The office one looks like it would be nice for low light.

To post a pic that depicts light leakage, set your screen saver to "blank" and then hit preview. That'll give you a nice backlit black screen.
