Anyone own a Hypersonic AX2? Any thoughts on the machine? It's certainly not as flashy as the Voodoo but it looks to get the job done. Build quality? Keyboard quality? Battery life?

    Naive question:
ATI Radeon Xpress 200 used by they Hypersonic - Is this considered to be a completely separate graphics card or is this considered an onboard graphics card? E.g., does it share system RAM for its memory?

    Thanks in advance!

If you don't care for flashy looks, I would look at a Sager instead and save several hundred. They are all the same notebook inside even if the casing is altered.

The Radeon Xpress 200M in the AX2 is shared, up to 128MB total. The X200M is the best integrated solution on the market.

Yes, go with a Sager, unless you want the fancy paint job.

Thanks for clarifying the Xpress 200M. I'm not an intensive gamer but I appreciate a graphically quick computer when multi-tasking with photo/video programs.

As far as Sager, I would go with Sager but they don't have a notebook in the class I am looking for (<= 4.5lbs). Thanks for both of your advices.

Anyone with direct experience with the Hypersonic AX2?

Hey portaturtle guess what, yup it is the same system. Check the hinges and the mouse area. ROFL, lets see if I can find a review on this one for you.
