This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    I did see somebody who linked to the PC Club HEL80 somewhere on NBR before, but it's useful information for people interested in the system.

    It will give you a chance to see it in person if there's a PC Club in your area.

    Compal, being an ODM (Original Design Manufacturer, I think) the Hel80 no doubt will have many faces. I wouldn't be surprised if someone buys a Dell, or HP and finds out that their laptop looks the same as the Hel80.
