    Hello I´m bifox from Spain.
I´m sorry, my english is poor.
I had buyed 2 Hel 80 for me and father.
My bios is 118B and father 114B
All are running in XP SP2 Proff
    Ok.
If I touch power management voltage ever is 1.200v with Battery or AC don´t change (in all modes laptop, desktop, maximum... etc).
The laptop father´s (114b) changes. when I touch power management.
Voltages goes from 0,950 to 1.200v. in battery or ac mode.
In my system information always appear 1,83 mhz. In the fathers laptop appears 997 or 1,83mhz depending of power management configuration.

What is the problem or the diference?
The laptop´s has the same configuration except version.
I like very much that my laptop changes the voltage and speed.

    Thanks

try a new bios, perhaphs different (newer) drivers on the newer bios. otherwise, you could always downgrade/upgrade to 119 (which is newest now, works ok for me but I use Linux so I don't know anything about how XP works on EL80 from own experience).

    Thanks imachine.
I don´t know how to downgrade bios. I tryed it in windows xp mode no Dos mode (118B already installed to114b) but the installer tell me: impossible that´s a newer version.
    I don´t know how.

I got a USB floppy from a mate, formatted DOS startup disk, booted from it, insterted another DOS formatted floppy disk with the bios and flash utility, and simply upgraded.

I have not yet done downgrades, no need for that. I reckon it should be okay if you did it from dos, it shouldn't/wouldn't complain about the bios being an older version than the one installed.

Any bios work you'll be doing I recommend doing it on wire + a reasonably charged battery. Never know when you hit a power outage.

    Dunno. Try :) Good luck.

I have flashing back with 114b and all it´s ok  . This is another world.
I think that 118b only works fine in vista
