I was requested to write something about my new notebook so I will write a short description.

    - Intel T9300 2.5GHz (Weirdly, but Everest reading sometimes goes to 2.66)
    - WSXGA+ 1650x1050 Glossy
    - 2GB Kingston 667MHz (Weirdly again, going up to 694, prob. wrong readings, if someone could clarify this)
    - 100GB Seagate Momentus 7200.1
    - nVidia 8600M GT 512MB GDDR2
    - Intel Wireless 4965 AGN
    - Bluetooth
    - Realtek ALC268
    - Combo DVD DL....
    - 4in1 Card Reader
    - No TV Tuner
    - BIOS 1.16
    - Windows XP Home + Drivers + PowerDVD 7 Suite
    - Price: 1717$

Notebook was received with a Gigabyte Wireless adapter which I didn't like and I replaced it. I already installed fresh copy of Windows, all drivers and all software. All went smoothly, newset chipset, wireless software, video and audio drivers was downloaded and installed.

The notebook looks great, just looking at it you can see it is a mean machine(yes there are meanest but for this money...). It looks sturdy which is what I like with Compal, exept for the front lid which is metallic blue color and looks a little bit fancy(well fancier than my previous model HEL80). BTW. keyboard seems much better quality than HEL80.
It comes with a WOW Sound feature which someone could find handy(I use SRS Audio Sandbox). The presets are changed just by touching the place where it is written WOW Audio/Video. So it is not a key. :D The Speakers are very good in my opinion.

I very satisfied with the notebook, except for the fact that when listening music in any player I hear glitches, short stoppages, like trrrr which was unbearable at first. After installing fresh Windows and newest drivers this was reduced and become bearable. I believe this will be rectified with more new drivers and BIOS. Hopefully. I don't know what to blame for this behaviour.
    Here are some initial benchmarks:
    3DMarks 06 Score: 3482 Resolution 1280x1024 Drivers 174.70(Laptopvideo2go.com)
Max temperature while benchmarking was 60C CPU and 85C GPU.
Idle temps are 50-55C CPU, 69-71C GPU and 50C HDD.
GPU idle temp with the default driver was 71-75C, but with the new drivers this came down a bit as you can see. This seems a bit high compared to my previous notebooks but they say it is normal for this graphic card.

That's all. Sorry about my english, I am not a native english speaker.
