    Hello.

My 8600 died on me a few months back so I decided to replace it with a new card. I read here on the forums about how some of you have had success with the 4650, so I order one. The card arrives, I install it with no issue at all, I just had to mod the heatsink a bit. The card works fine for about a day when it just flat out dies on me. No boot screen at all. Since the card was used I figure it was just my bad luck and I return the card for a new one.

Fast forward until today when my replacement card arrives. I install it with no issue at all, I insert my Windows 7 disk to reinstall my OS when the setup crashes.

When I reboot my computer the screen is dead. Just like with the old 8600 and then with my first 4650. The computer boots up fine and I can hear the dvd drive spin up and starts to read the disk.

I've tried using a external screen, nothing. Switch around my RAM, remove the harddrive, everything. Does anyone have any ideas? I am just the unluckiest guy ever with two replacement cards dieing that quickly or is the motherboard short circuiting the video cards?

What I haven't tried is to reset the BIOS so if someone could tell me how I do that on this motherboard I'd appreciate that.

You did use heat pads or paste, didn't you?
