Is anyone aware of an external battery (such as ones made by Electrovaya or Valence) that is specifically compatible to the Sager 9860? All of the external battery manufacturer websites I've logged in to that show compatibility charts don't list this computer as an option.

    Thanks!

That's prob bc Sager really doesn't sell that many computers when you compare it with the market, like Dell, HP, eMachines, Sony, Toshiba, ... and they either just don't list sager, or because it is so small overall none of them work with it.

unfortunatly the reason you cannot find a compatable external battery is due to the Huge power needs of any Desktop replacment system. Ran into the same problem trying to buy a car adaptor for an alienware 5500. At the moment I think that APC is working on both products. ( I live in Rhode Island and they are based here so its a local call for me )But as of now noone has them avaiable since they are considered a Boutique Rig and not really a High volume system. I would recommend looking for all the clone names out there as well since the 9860 is just a Clevo machine there are like 20 or more distribtors of the same box with different window dressing. For instance AlienWare 7700, Eurocom D900T, Hypersonic ???, VooDoo ???, Prostar???, ect.... there are many of them so hapy hunting
