about to buy a laptop. There's an evesham store near where I live (UK) so am considering buying their Voyager C545 plus notebook - which is basically an ASUS W3J, but cheaper.

Anyone have any experience with EVESHAM generally? Laptops reliable,? builds good? After sales/ technical support?

    thanks

I'm also thinking about this laptop. The pricing is pretty good, however how do you know its a W3J? I know that Evesham do use Asus chasis's on some of their machines though.

Their CS is supposed to be good, however I have heard that they often bombard you with marketing material.

no that laptop is a benq s73

not an asus w3j. Benq is actually the brand acer. this particular model however is made by the chinese company called mitac.

All things considered, this is a fine notebook. I wish it were imported to the us. However not nearly as fine as an asus. It is cheaper in quality certainly. similar in spec.

Compare it to the zepto znote 6412 in the uk but possilby give it a little more weight in pounds compared to zepto.

as for experience with evesham... no i have no idea. Id look for some uk specific computer ratings on that.

remember ok, evesham makes nothing. They buy things available elsewhere in the world and put their name on it. just like dell and hp here in the us.
So what you need to try and figure out is what is it they are buying

Correction. BenQ WAS actually the brand Acer.

But that's not accurate either. This is correct:

    Oh, one more thing:

You really don't want to start a war because of this comment. :) Normally when we say Chinese, the first thing in our mind is China. Mitac is a Taiwanese company but they have factories in China.
