This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     DVD not working....

    I have a 3200 with a combi cd writer & dvd player.......
    but, the machine wont play DVD's
    CD all fine, but when I put a DVD in, the thing spins but no DVD play.
    If I click on the DVD icon in my computer, it just opens an empty folder.
    weird....
    Tried all the usual, installed power DVD (horrid program)
    Cant read a data dvd either.
    ideas anyone?

    Won't play any DVD? If not see if your DVD-ROM can play it (I have heard some DVD-ROM's won't play DVD-R unless their firmware is updated)
    Update the firmware it usually helps.
