Just about to order my new 6615 - but what is the current Vista compatibility status? Do all the devices have a fully working Vista driver? Webcam, Card-reader, Graphics Card etc? Also, the DVB-T & Analogue TV tuner is listed as being "Media Center Only", does that mean it will only work in Microsoft XP Media Center Edition, or will it work in Vista Home Premium? since that includes the program "Windows Media Center".

I am currently thinking about just getting XP Media Center Edition, and then ordering a Vista Express Upgrade. That's another point, I read through the Express Upgrade instruction page, but it was a little hard to understand, the English was a bit off I think. I think it said I had to make sure I had selected Express Upgrade, but there was no option for this on the actually laptop configuration page as eg Dell has. Will I automatically be able to order a free DVD (except P&P) before April?

Finally, are there any other general Vista problems which have yet to be ironed out that would be enough to put me off ordering the 6615 with Vista Home Premium installed?

Thanks for helping me get one step closer to finally getting my dream notebook! ;)

my experience with vista with my 6615wd has been all good, no driver issues or anything, except for the dvd-rom fault which i've made a thread about, other than that everything works fine with vista, if you cant find a vista driver, just use the xp one, most of them still work.

    good luck :)

Do you know if that defect applies to the tray-loader or is it just the slot loader?

As Fedorian I have only experinced problems with the Sony Slot-in DVD drive in my 6615WD.

But it's weird... Zepto is selling 6615WD's preloaded with Vista and the Slot-in drive... Does these have the problem too? Probably not, I doubt they would sell them if they did... :/
