Still lovin my SN12E2 netbook. It's a great little machine!

I called the Hannspree 800 number (877-665-9477) today to find out about getting a back-up battery since no one seems to carry them. The Rep advised I can buy one for $50.00 plus $15.00 for shipping. I passed on that for the moment since I'm going to be in Los Angeles next week and thought I might be able to go by their store in Beverly Hills and pick one up without the shipping costs.

I called the LA store directly (310-288-0208) but, unfortunately, they do not stock the batteries in the stores. But I spoke with a really nice guy there (Drew) who advised that the SN12 is now on sale for $299 (I paid $399 at Costco in January). The 10 inch with the Atom processor is now $199. He said he can ship from the store to anywhere and there is no tax if outside California. I have a couple of friends who would like to get one of the SN12's.

Just thought I would pass the information along.

No such luck. 9 cell would be great. But with SSD I get over 5 hours of real use out of it.
