Does anyone know where to find them?

I formatted my laptop and i have to install the BIOS but the only ones i could find on Compal's website were PBL10 and PBL11 both of which had 404 errors with their latest BIOS.

    Any help would be appreciated.

I've been there everyday since i have posted, and every single BIOS i click on for PBL10 and PBL11 have nothing but 404 errors and whatever language with them.

It should have a fail-over bios in case of situations like this, I don't have a reference anymore so not sure if I will be of much help here.

On a desktop normally pulling out the bios battery did the trick, perhaps if desperate you could try that. Looking at mine there is what looks like a battery on the motherboard (top side below palm rest), however it appears to be held down by solder. If you're not comfortable replacing soldier you might try taking it to a service center that specializes in that sort of thing.

Why upgrade the bios in the first place?

    good luck
