    Hai.
So, is there anyone else who is using BenQ Joybook A52 (or an ex-user)?
I bought new laptop some time ago, but my A52 is still alive and rolling like new. Wanted to talk about CPU upgrades - since I'll most likely sell it (people in Latvia like to buy old and expensive second-hand crap), I would like to experiment with it a little.
SINCE I work in computer service, I can get many different laptop CPUs, I dont know, if A52's motherboard support anything better than T2130.
At the moment I have Intel Pentium Dual Core T2130 1.86GHz CPU installed (stock), I was wondering, if its possible to get anything more powerful, because I cant find any useful information about this laptop's model anywhere on the Inthernet, and, as BenQ users have noticed, BenQ support sucks balls, so no useful info from them either.
So far I have upgraded HDD and RAM - now I have 250GB 7200RPM HDD and 2x1GB 667MHz DDR2 RAM (motherboard dont support more). Also I have upgraded WiFi card, because stock Atheros card was too weak, and DVD RW device - took one from dead HP with lightscribe.
I know that GPU is integrated and not upgradeable.

So, any success stories about upgrading A52 CPU?

P.S. I bet noone here even uses this model anymore, but why not give it a shot?

I suppose get any Socket M CPU and you should be set.

Do you have experience in upgrading the CPU of a laptop?

I do, but not with A52. Since I havent read ANYTHING about CPU upgrades of A52, I'm interesting, if it's mobo support anything better. Some homepages say it doesnt, but dunno, maybe there are something that I can do.
Not like its a life or death question tho, I can quite good sell it with current complectation either.

Hi. I am not sure it is good idea. Even with the default CPU my Joybook A52 overheats at full speed and goes down.

Hi, I take my words back.
I have cleaned the CPU cooling system with compressed air. Now it works much better.
