Does anyone know where to buy a replacement battery for the Vizio CT14?
Or does anyone know the model number of the battery or something close to it?
I tried looking on Ebay but couldn't find any. Maybe I was not searching correctly.

Looks tough to find. I recommend you call Vizio support and ask for the part number.

The battery is SQU-1107. I'd love to buy one too.

By my understanding the battery is not replaceable, and that's because I have one that I have sitting next to me at work (I work for vizio) unless I have the newer model, I'll have to check at work, But by my understanding is if the battery goes out in the first year you need to contact vizio and they replace the whole unit if I'm not mistaken. And I always tell my customers that they should get the ESP due to the fact if something goes out after the 1 year its expensive to get it fixed because we went the route like macbooks where its suppose to be all incased inside the unit for a slim and sleek style. Same goes for our new tv's that are coming out, by my understanding you can't pull them apart anymore, not the new E-series but the new M-Series that is coming out here at the end of may or beginning of june.

Bottom of ct14 laptop has no battery compartment to just drop the battery out and pulling it apart is like a death sentence for this as well in a warranty stand point.

Actually you just need to unscrew about ~ 7 t5 and some philips then you can remove the battery. Quite easy.

+1 to that. I ordered a cn15-a5 off newegg, the battery wouldn't charge and they ended up taking back the unit. I don't understand why when the battery can be replaced easily. Once the back is off the battery has a few screws holding it down but comes right out.

The battery would be extremely easy to replace - if batteries were available. Vizio is a very unethical and disreputable company - they are hostile to their customers. They force you to send your laptop to them (wasting weeks while you can't use your laptop) for something that would take a 5 year old about 5 minutes to replace + plus they jack up the price and force you to pay for mailing both ways.

I will never buy another Vizio product of any kind. It's a shame. The laptop is nicely designed (the lousy touchpad and mediocre keyboad not withstanding) - the ssd, wifi, and battery are easily accessible. I was ablt to easily replace the 128GB ssd with a 256GB ssd (you have to remove the battery to disconnect it before you swap out the ssd). Vizio is not environmentally friendly either - you have to junk their laptops after a year or two when the battery dies. Shame on Vizio and the A-holes who run it.

for the CT 14 and CT 15 ultra book models in which the RAM is soldered in,

Is it possible to take out the battery and OPEN the battery and replace the battery cells so that it will work again. I was thinking of sending it to a local laptop store, maybe they could do it???

it seems like my battery is going bad.

I didnt use the laptop for a long time so it was discharged

I charged it up, it goes to 100% 2.5 percent wear. but every once in a while on battery it just shuts off. sometimes even when plugged in.

I took it apart its quite simple to take apart.

ive found the battery online for as cheap as 80 but its hard to pull the trigger.

i wish i could take it apart and replace the cells but i wouldnt count on that one at all.

i wonder if im the last vizo owner out there lol.

my vizio was far from reliable as i broke the screen on it, replaced it and then it had a problem with the battery and the sensor that detects the lid closing ( all related from me breaking the screen leaving it sit for months and then reasembling it not from manufacturer defect)

the battery issue seems to have fixed itself but the sensor still doesnt work i just learned to disable it so it didnt turn the computer off everytime the screen moved.

my vizio is now going to be what i show the customers the internet on, as im a comcast business technician.

i feel it was a great purchase. it is essentially the same quality as the dell xps series. it is built in the same factory.

i still would never buy it msrp only cheap discount like i did. its battery is good its thin and unibody.

Im stuck on the all aluminum concept now, dont want a thick plastic laptop. but i could live with a bit larger one and one with a gpu.

if vizio had a new one with a 850m id buy it.. .... but it seems vizio laptops are going belly up.
