Any idea on how to transfer the BOOT logo.
Using the phoenix by default but would like to have someting like COMPAL.
The text should by White and the logo green.

Olidata is using some BOOT logo.

i would like to have the compal logo in the boot, or other.

Hell, I'd change it to something more unique. :) My car's logo, my fake company logo, Prmatech logo (fictional paper company in Heroes http://www.primatechpaper.com/), etc.

The only tool that I can think of to modify phoenix bios is phoenix bios editor but it is only available to oem company or can be purchased for as little as $6000 US. Try google and maybe you'll get some luck :D

PS: It is illegal to post link direct to file in any public place.

Not true hirush, the zip on the compal site includes a little program to do this. I believe PITA has done it successfully. I was going to toy with it, but didn't like the possibility of bricking my notebook. Though I have to say, I'm surprised vendors don't have customized versions of the BIOS with their logos, it's a perfect place to enforce the brand. :)

I'd be interested in this too, something with the Sager logo or something rather than the ugly Phoenix BIOS screen. :)

To do this you will need to know how to update the OLIDATA.WPH file, which included in the
    http://www.bizcom-us.com/support/IFL...tLogoTools.zip
And then run OLIDATA.BAT as you do when you make BIOS update.
Or you will need to create your own ...........WPH file And name him OLIDATA.WPH and then run OLIDATA.BAT file, as you do when you make BIOS update. Or give him your own name then you will need to modify OLIDATA.BAT.......

THE BIG QUESTION IS: HOW TO MODIFY .WPH FILE ? to what you wont.

Ill make a picture of it. It changed the ugly grey screen of Phoenix to a black screen showing Olidata & a small Phoenix logo.

The BTO logo can be loaded by running the special flash file for the BIOS to change the BOOT LOGO.
The file is password protected so i need to contact BTO to ask for approval for sharing this file.

    So wait for my reply.

Well, the phoenix bootscreen is ugly imho and if you have the possibility to further customize your device, why not do it...

Because of the risk which comes when adjusting the flash file to change the boot logo.

    Hey guys,

Boot logos have been able to be customized for some time now..

Here is some info on how to go about changing them..

http://www.intel.com/design/motherbd/gen_indx.htm - Those of use with Compal or other ODM based notebooks (Clevo, Sager, Etc..)

Gigabyte has something called Face-Wizard that allows you to do this.

ASUS has a utility called My Logo which also allows you to do this.

NOTE:: You must understand that you will be required to flash your BIOS, which may pose a risk of damaging your mobo (If you don't know what you're doing)

    Later Guys..

I think this isn't going to work, this is for older BIOS versions and not for the newer phoenix based BIOS.
