    Hi,

I'm hoping someone here can help me choose between the 6615 and the 6214. I want something that I can travel with when necessary - nothing too big or too heavy - but I don't have to carry it around THAT much, so no need for anything tiny.

I didn't want to go as small as 14" because I watch a lot of DVDs on my laptop (currently have a 15", non-widescreen)...thought maybe I could get the 6214 and a lovely big monitor for when I'm at home?

The 6615 would probably be ideal, but I'm having real trouble with the appearance. I know that's not really important...still, it's bothering me. I really don't like the look of it. I thought maybe I could get a custom cover and that would help, but are they available for the 6615?

So, extra portable 14" and a big screen for at home or stop being such a girl about the aesthetics and get a 6615?

If anyone has any info that might help swing me one way, that'd be great.

    Thanks!

Go to PC world or comet or something and compare screen sizes there. Its very difficult to recommend sizes as its up to personal preference.

Though i went from a 15.4" to a 14" and i dont miss the extra inch. But i love having 1 less kg.

I guess that you watch widescreen movie dvds. The 6214 widescreen will be a much more satisfying experience than a 4:3 14" display when watching movies. So maybe the 6214 will do fine for you. As a 6615WD'er I have to admit that the looks of the 6214 are so much sleeker.

I'm not sure if you loose screen width at all moving from a 15" standard to 14" widescreen when watching movies...

    I would choose the 6615.. i mean, i did choose the 6615.
I was told dvd viewing was great, no ghosting in games, and i like the high resolution of the display. If all of that i true in practice, ill find out later today, when i should get my 6615. But for me, the 14" screen was the limiting factor, that made me go for the 6615.

    Thanks guys...

I did go check out the screen sizes in a shop before I started this thread, that's what made me consider the 6615. I think I might just have to get over the many shades of grey and get it!

I guess I don't travel enough to take the lighter weight over the bigger screen. I'll probably change my mind again 100 times now, but I think it'll be the 6615.
