I don't think I did. I didn't like the keyboard that is for sure, it had too much uneven flex for my liking in such an expensive machine. The rest of the quality was pretty good though. The chassis does submit to some minor flexing, but then high quality as far as I'm concerned is the IBM i sold recently, IBMs have a deserved reputation for being solid as houses.

Hmm, well it's not IBM league but it's not badly put together. The materials feel expensive and there are no quality niggles, but for this money it didn't strike me as rock solid. On the other hand I don't think it'll fall apart anytime soon.

John's 6024 review should say more ablout this as he's been travelling with it.

I did want to try something DX10. Unfortunately the applications that allow DX10 are games which I don't own, and the demos are huge downloads which will eat up the download limit where I'm staying right now which isn't possible as people use the connection for work. Sorry about that.

What else can you give in a review, Gi1b0? Do you want her to go read the Zepto website and reiterate everything about the laptop here without questioning the validity of it? The only point to reading a user review is so you can see how a normal everyday user of a laptop is going to like it, and the only way to do that is to give your personal opinions. Of course some things are subjective, like sensitivity to noise, screen preference and sound quality but there is no way to say "It is an absolute fact that the build quality of this notebook is unacceptable for this price range" if she was doing something of that sort then her personal opinions are motivated by something else, much like yours are (I.E., you're a fanboy)

And you would prefer what, rainbows and sunshine in all the reviews you read? My god the review sounds negative to you because you are realizing this notebook (like every other notebook) has flaws, some of which could deter someone from buying the laptop. I am one of those people, because I'm very sensitive to noise which moon angel pointed out is a problem with this notebook. And yes you can somewhat remedy this by loading the bios defaults, but she tried this, and it's still noisy.

There is more than enough information in the review to help the average user decide if the laptop is right for them. I'm also very curious as to what you think is missing. And saying it's bad because theres information you personally already knew about is just ridiculous. The world doesn't revolve around you, get over it.

Yes, and she did compare the screen quality to other laptops and talked about keyboard flex, so it's almost sounding like she's satisfying your own criteria.

Let me just say lastly that you are the lowest of all lows. She is doing a service for YOU and everyone else by providing this review, UNPAID. Honestly, if you really think the review is bad (which it is not, it's of the same quality as almost every review I've read here) then GET OFF YOUR WHINY ASS AND WRITE A NEW ONE YOURSELF.
I swear to god this generation thinks they are entitled to everything; grow up and realize these reviews are not going to be catered to your specific concerns. They have to be broad and incredulous.

Actually, I do get paid for it, the rest of the stuff at nbr is what I don't get paid for. Still, thanks very much for your feedback and comments, I appreciate it.

Did anyone post a link to the review of the 6224W at mobility.de.

It goes into a lot of detail.

    Hey, nice review!

Just a note from a long-term user: I heavily used the touchpad for a year now and I have to disagree it's a con.

Because the touchpad works fine. Why should I carry around a mouse? :)

I can live with the pad when the machine is not sitting in my desk, but when it is, i use a Razer mouse, ALWAYS. :)

We'll see if Zepto pushes those 17" models out during this year.. That could even give enough reason for me to sell this one. ^^

    I'm grateful for an answer.

There's definitely an optical output which supports several formats (see the attached). However, I don't know further details of the supported formats. Perhaps you should ask Zepto.

Thanks for the quick answer. I e-mailed Zepto but I didn't really get any answer. But their site is clearly saying 7.1, so I guess that's the case.

    Thanks for the review.
    They are rare to find.
