    Wireless Card Shortage Coming
A DigiTimes report states that there will be a shortage of built-in wireless LAN card modules after March. Supply of the cards may fall short of demand up to 20-30%. The shortages have apparently been caused by rush orders by manufacturers. Notebook shipments and orders this spring may be higher than expected.

Short term investment? Buy up ebay intel n cards and resell them for a profit when the shortage hits.

Get a real job or get a life?

    (Seriously)

But on a more serious note, hopefully the wireless supply bottleneck clears by the time I'm up for my next notebook purchase in a year.

Great, just another reason to be overcharged by the manufacturers. Last year it was the battery situation, now wifi cards.

With the world economy in the dumper, hard to believe a shortage will make a dent in supply or prices.

I think this is just a stunt to raise prices and as a customer I don't like this sort of manipulation.
