No notebook manufacturer is complete without a laptop featuring fast car related branding, and as such Voodoo PC has released an F1 Racing branded notebook, featuring American racer Scott Speed.
Voodoo PC announced today that they have signed to sponsor Scott Speed, the only American to compete on the Formula 1 race circuit, and will release a Scott Speed branded Envy a:228 laptop. The Envy a:228 is a Turion 64 powered, 12.1" widescreen laptop that weighs in at 4.0lbs.
According to Voodoo PC president Rahul Sood: "Scott has triumphed against the odds and risen to become a serious contender in the high performance Formula 1 racing circuit, similar to the way Voodoo has emerged as a leader in the high performance PC market. He is young, hungry to win, and wants to prove himself as a leading race car driver. In many ways, he exemplifies the core characteristics and values of our company and we are thrilled to be a part of Scott Speed racing!"
More information on the Scott Speed laptop can be found at Voodoo PC's website here: http://www.voodoopc.com/promo.aspx?promoID=7. This is trash.

A laptop backed up by an american F1 racer? The link doesn't even list specs. This consumer/marketing cra.p is disgusting. -
It's identical to the Envy a:228 which is just a rebranded MS-1013, so there's the stats for you.
Please keep the negative comments constructive, we don't want any flame wars, especially not in this section meant for accurate, solid, information. ^^; -
I think we should have drag race between the Acer Ferrari, the Hummer laptop, Asus Lambo, and this laptop.
-
This one would win 'cause it's the smallest.

Yah! Car paint with an F1 badge. Voodoo notebooks already have car paint. =O ...and next months the Dell STV Notebook and Toshiba Type R! (That is j/k of course) <<;
BTW I feel dumb. Who makes a hummer? ; -
interesting...
well, if Scott becomes very famous in the EU dominated F1, then this may have been the smartest move by voodoopc...
team ferrari is sponsored by AMD, right? well... i wonder if we will see voodoo logo on Scott's F1 car??? -

That's missmatched. xD I'm suprised the hummer isn't a rugged, yellow painted 17 inch notebook.
-
It's still not as tough as a Toughbook.
-
I'd rather have a schumacher edition
