wish they'd just give me the money instead of an useless xbox

Sounds like their reps arent on the same page regarding the upgradability of these. If even the standard 15 inch notebook is not upgradable...or upgrades void the warranty, then that's a major bummer.
-
-
sounds like the ultrabook are fanless?
-
It says reduces, not removes. I'd hazard to say it just allows them to run their fans less often or at lower RPM.
-
Will some body please notify this thread when any retailer has one of these you can actually lay hands on.
-
I'd also assume that other places like Best Buy would get them too. -
I already know where they will be, I want updates on where they actually are.

Amazon releases it on the 27th: Amazon.com: VIZIO CN15-A1 15.6-Inch Laptop: Computers & Accessories
If you want to see it for yourself in stores, Walmart says it should arrive "on or after June 25th" I would imagine they will get them on or before the 27th.
As far as other stores or online, I don't know. Try asking a rep, they've been extremely helpful with everything I have asked.
To the guy talking about fanless: I saw that and asked a Vizio rep, he said every notebook they're selling is air cooled (with a fan) -
We need clear confirmation on if ram can be upgraded on the ultrabooks.
-
If we can upgrade the RAM ourselves = mid-ranged vizio ultrabook for me
If we can't, then I'm probably going to get the vizio notebook, depending on whether the keyboard is good or not. If the keyboard is bad, I might be getting a MacBook Air =[ -
Nice little read
VIZIO Notebooks and All-In-Ones: First Impressions
I have a feeling I'm going to like the keyboard, I actually can't stand the new trend in laptop keyboards IE chilet keys -
I pre-ordered mine from Amazon, it will be here on the 28th... I'll keep you posted

I stopped by a microsoft store here in Jersey and they had four 14 inch models on display.
First impressions are that the keyboard is pretty awesome even though there seemed to be alittle bit of flex but I was pressing down pretty hard, it had good tactile response. The build quality seems pretty solid. For the touchpad, it wasn't as responsive as I would have liked it to be. The ssd is a toshiba with a windows index score of 7.6 for the hard drive.
For the screen, it looked like it was ips, the colors were pretty vibrant and sharp, the viewing angles seemed to indicate that it was ips. I asked the sales clerk whether they knew if the screen was ips or not... and no one who worked at the store knew what an ips screen was -_- I had to explain what it was to half of the team working there...... I also inquired about upgradability but to no avail... -
They said on their website that they won't be selling in Canada if I remember correctly. They mentioned that they couldn't honor a warranty in Canada on their facebook page. Sorry
-
^ Yeah just saw that. Well. . . that sucks.
-
I'm sure if it does well they will expand their base. Can you get Vizio tv's there?
-
^ Yeah, you can get vizio tv's from like Costco, Newegg.ca ect. But I've yet to see anything about their laptops. I've only seen them on their US Vizio site, and other America resellers.
-
I popped into my local Walmart today to see if they were out yet. They had price tags on the shelf, but no laptops yet. Clerk told me they didn't like to put the better ones out because people steal or ruin the keys, but they didn't have them in the locked cabinet beneath yet either.

Feel free to post anything Vizio-related there. -
You have said it, friend.
Does anyone else see more than a vague resemblance to the already-derivative HP Envy? -
