The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Yeah, I just saw this too on Ars Technica. Can't say I'm terribly dissapointed. I'd rather have them delay and get it right (hopefully) than have them rush a half baked pile of garbage to market.

    Mmmh, as far as I know MS they will delay it several times and then still release a "half baked pile of garbage." Personally I don't plan to touch Vista for the first year. I'd rather let other people do the beta testing. :D

    LOL, you did notice I added the word "hopefully", right? ;) :)
    I'm also of the mind to watch the so-called word on the street for about 6-12 months before taking the plunge. With new versions of Linux distros I'm usually an early adopter because it doesn't cost me anything, but I gotta wait a while until something commercial has proven itself before I lay out cash for it.

    When and where was it posted earlier? Chazman included it in a 10 pm (EST) post. My post was at 7:30 pm EST.
