Gonna write a review on the Inspiron 1520 when I get it through the front door :)

    Specs:

    Alpine white (glossy)
    Vista Home Premium
    Core 2 duo, T7100
    2Gb RAM @ 667mhz
    8600M GT - 256 mb
    120Gb, sata, 5400 rpm
    15.4" Truelife @ 1280x800
    9-cell battery
    2 mp webcam, builtin

A pretty normal spec I think. Looking forward to writing it :)

I've just ordered one too so I'll post my impressions also and see what sort of benchmarks I get with games. Mines due to arrive on 11th of July. Same specs as NinjaBiscuit above except

    - 15.4" UltraSharp(TM) Widescreen WSXGA+ (1680x1050) Display
    - T7500 2.2ghz core duo
    - Black case

I'll be doing what I can to provide info as well. Hopefully, a lot of game screenshots with the 256MB 8600M GT so people can see what it can do. Since I have plenty of games, I will make a thread for it.

I'd be happy to do a review with mine, including pictures.

    Core 2 Duo T7300 2GHz
    2GBs DDR2 Ram @ 667Mhz
nVidia GeForce 8600M GT with 256MB DDR3 Ram
    160GB 7200RPM HDD

Nope, not fixed. I've talked to multiple dell customer support people. They all say it's DDR3. The "help me choose" during config also shows the correct bandwidth for the ddr3 version of the 8600gt.
