This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     The quick summary is that the fix will require both a patch from Microsoft plus a BIOS update from your manufacturer. In an interesting twist, the regsitry hack detailed almost everywhere (and implemented by a number of manufacturers) is NOT recommended as it may cause stability problems.

    I haven't seen any stability problems with the reg fix... but I guess I'll heed the advice.
