UPEK Launches Biometric Solutions for Netbooks
UPEK today announced its first finger authentication products for netbooks and Mobile Internet Devices (MIDs). The solutions include the company's latest TouchStrip TCS5 Fingerprint Sensor and Fingerprint Suite Starter software which allows users to enter passwords with the swipe of a finger. Software availability begins in March 2009 for Windows XP; support for Windows 7 is planned, and Linux support will be available in the second half of this year.

I think, that it may be nice for the Netbooks! Some peep's will like having it, some not. Not having to use passwords, is a very nice option.
I wonder if Dell will introduce these on upcoming/potential Netbook releases, going forward?
I guess we will have to wait and see. I'm sure when one brand starts implementing this on their Netbooks...other's will surely follow..
