I took it just out of curiosities sake, and it was quite short.
One thing missing from the article though... Google TV. I own one and LOVE it. -
I cut Dish this week. Mainly because of all the internet content and getting about 10 good free OTA HD channels.. which come in better then cable/satellite HD. I was paying over 75 dollars for Dish HD package and I don't miss it. First it was the landlines that were bleeding. I think people will start cutting the cord with cable/sat next. There's always going to be those choices available and many people won't cut the cord. But with every increasing carriage hikes and ever increasing cable prices.. I foresee many getting to that point where the value no longer exists.. Especially with much of the content going to reality which cost little to produce.. yet subscriber carriages never stop climbing. And sports carriages are still subsidized by the majority of subscribers and watched by a minority of subs.. which screams a la carte pricing. I doubt I will ever pay for cable again unless a la carte becomes an option.
