    These look decent, but I'm not seeing any resolutions higher than 1366x768 even on the 15.6" R850. C'mon guys, you have to do better than this - especially on a business class notebook.

    isnt this the same cooling technique they used in the previous Protoge, which had a heat issue?

    I agree the 720p screen on a 15.6" screen is a bit absurd, but on the 13" its pretty good.

    Tecra R850-119

    Chrome Touchpad buttons stiff and very noisy clicks - why make them like this ?
    Can they be taken apart and quietened down somehow

    Nice looking laptop otherwise but should have backlit keyboard fittted

    That's disappointing; many of Toshiba's Satellite notebooks have the same kind of touchpad buttons.

    Touchpad buttons should be ultra quiet, period ... some notebook makers just don't get it.

    To answer your question, there's no way I know of to remove the buttons. Never heard of it being done, anyways ...
