Looks like some interesting results. The 2GHz X2 and 2GHz Core Duo offer relatively the same performance with the X2 taking a slight advantage in certain areas. The Core Duo is the obvious winner when it comes to battery life however. It will be interesting to see if there is much competition vs Merom.

I dont think that review is the best to judge the battery life of the systems. They were using pretty different batteries, the Core Duo had a 80Wh 9 cell Li-ion whereas the TurionX2 had a 54Wh and the single core Turion had a 48Wh 6 cell batteries.

About the Right RAM for TX2, I don't think it's right.
If you get the TL-60, then it would definitely faster than TL-5x, thus the RAMs don't need to run at full speed; the CPU just done with the tasks before RAMs.

I think it's funny how they tested against a 1.83 Core Duo. It's obvious that the Core Duo and the X2 perform prety similarly for the same clock speed (assuming the Core Duo doesn't actually perform better). It's good to see AMD is catching up again in the mobile department. I still don't think the AMD will provide as good of battery life as the Core Duo, but at least performance is back. It'll be interesting to see an X2 vs. Core 2 Duo comparison in a true 64-bit environment, possibly on a future 64-bit Windows Vista system.
