Dell's already doing a rollback program :/ I guess it makes sense to do what customers demand.

    Ok, this is getting weird.

    I love Win 8. I love Metro.

I really fail to see why anyone in their right mind would prefer the old Startmenu. Its much more "clicky" and much less userfriendly.

Search is awesome and superfast in Metro. The Applist is awesome and superfast in Metro.

Learning the shortcuts takes what, an hour, before you know the most important ones by heart? Why axe an entire OS for one hated feature?

It feels like I am living in a nightmare here, where everyone else sees or does not see the stuff I see....

Oh, btw, my system (G73SW) idle temp BEFORE Windows 8: 44 degrees celsius. AFTER Windows 8: 39 degrees celsius.

I'm with you on this, I don't understand the resistance... I guess change no matter for what purpose or gain just bothers people. I'm really liking Windows 8, my laptop boots up in a matter of seconds, and is much more responsive. It took as mentioned a couple hours to learn where everything I'm used to is located, but at this point I can't imagine going back.
