Targus Inc., inventor of the notebook case and the preeminent provider of mobile accessory solutions, today announced the introduction of its Bluetooth(R) Mini Optical Mouse with Bluetooth Adapter. Targus was the first manufacturer to bring the mini mouse form factor to market, and continues to expand its leadership in the mouse category with this release. Targus will expand its Bluetooth offering to other mobile accessories within the second half of 2004.

"Targus' new Bluetooth Mini Optical Mouse not only provides users with a wireless Bluetooth mouse, but it actually adds Bluetooth connectivity to any notebook or desktop computer. The Targus Bluetooth Adapter which comes with the mouse allows up to seven Bluetooth devices, such as keyboards, printers, cell phones and PDAs, to connect wirelessly and simultaneously with the user's computer," said Sharon Pi, product manager for Targus.

The Targus Bluetooth Mini Optical Mouse also features a unique, one-touch, auto-pairing button on the adapter, which provides quick, easy and accurate connection of the mouse to the notebook or desktop PC. Users can operate the mouse seamlessly up to 33 feet away from the computer with a high-resolution 800-dpi optical sensor for optimum precision and accuracy. The mouse features an ambidextrous design for comfortable use by both right- and left-handed users. The size is large enough for day-to-day desktop use, yet small enough for easy portability. A carrying pouch is included for ease of traveling.

Targus' Bluetooth Mini Optical Mouse is available through major retailers, including Best Buy, as well as online at www.targus.com. The manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) for the mouse is $79.99 and includes a one-year warranty. The mouse is compatible with Windows 2000 and XP.

Has anyone actually seen one of these? It's not on Targus' website, as far as I can tell, and it's not offered on Best Buy's website. This is the first good-looking and functional Bluetooth mouse I've seen, and I want one. Where should I look?
