The Sony VAIO F (VPCF13WFX/BC) gaming laptop is now on sale in the Microsoft Store for $999 (new)--that's $300 less than the configuration price of our review of the system. The core differences between the two is the amount of RAM and the included hard disk drive. Although there was more RAM in the review notebook, we found that 4GB of RAM is more than enough for gaming, and that's how much is offered in the sale price. As far as the hard drive goes, the sale system's is faster but has a slightly smaller capacity; 500GB at 7200RPM in the sale system and 640GB at 5400RPM in the review system. All in all, we believe these specifications make the price of $999 worth it.
