German newsite is reporting it.
Intel will lunch Santa Rosa on the 9th of May and the laptops will come out on 25th. There are some reported problems with the GM965 chipset but the rest is working fine. HSDPA is not included anymore.

Cool, I've been waiting. I refuse to buy a current laptop that has old crappy tech
Anyone know if AMD has some new chipset coming out? I usually go for AMD but if they're not going to do anything till fall I'm not going to wait any longer than I already have (been dying for a laptop since october) -
i doubt AMD will/shud bother releasing anything new until their new CPU architecture comes out. Their laptops arent really in competition with intel's dual core and are targetted for budget users at the moment

Thanks for the info, we'll keep this in mind. I've heard a bunch of different dates but at this point I think we can safely assume that the launch of Centrino Pro will be in May for sure.
I read that the Robson solid-state flash memory will come out on the 6th of May.
