    To clarify, it's not simply a matter of bad math. Judge Koh found that the jury relied on an impermissible legal theory to calculate the damages. They were tasked with calculating economic damages (lost profits), but what they actually did was come up with a number that is a sanction for conduct they didn't approve of. That would be okay if they were supposed to be calculating punitive damages, but they weren't. They were supposed to be calculating Apple's lost profits.
