he CH711 will be available in 27- and 31.5-inch sizes. Samsung didn’t state the type of technology used in the display panel itself, but does say the monitor offers 178-degree viewing angles. This indicates it’s IPS, IGZO, or similar non-TN technology. (See our feature on display types.)
Samsung also boasts of rich colors thanks to the monitor's 125 percent sRGB color space coverage.
The CH711 has a 1440p (2,560x1,440 pixels) resolution in both of its sizes, translating to about 78 percent more pixels than a traditional 1080p resolution. This is an appropriate resolution for a 27-inch or larger display.
Samsung says the CH711’s white design is there to keep viewers focused on the screen. We like the fact the monitor has a narrow display bezel for a near edge-to-edge look. For cable management, the CH711 keeps its power and HDMI cables inside the stand’s neck. There’s no word on whether the stand supports adjustments. At the very least, we’ll expect tilt.
Pricing information hasn’t been announced for the CH711. Again, we've been told to expect it in early 2017.
