Hopefully, they market PC and laptop drives with this also.

I have no use for HD-DVD/Blu-Ray, and it can bite the big one for all I care. It is NOT good for the consumer when the enable HDCP, and alienating the early technology adopters who will get the shaft because their TVs don't support HDCP is going to be bad not only for the consumer, but for the electronics companies as well. If they decide not to go forward with HDCP, then I'd love to have HD-DVD/Blu-Ray, because HD is far better clarity than anything we have currently. But until then, they can keep it. I don't like being told what I can and can't do with my property.

Don't know what's up with the rant, I think I just needed to get something off my chest.

Don't forget to start breathing again!.

Jokes aside, I don't see the immediate need for either of them. so until prices have really come down, I'm not buying.

Yep. I'm not about to replace my DVD collection with HD discs, when
    a) it is not known who will win or
    b) if dual players will solve the problem
    c) Like 90% of the population, I do not have a HD TV

I'm looking forward to it more as a data storage medium, rather than as an video entertainment medium.
