The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    I would add, however, that there are much more than "a few" Cloud Print-compatible printers on the market. True, if you don't already have one, it will be an additional purchase, but I found many to choose from among Epson, Canon, and HP, and bought one from Epson that had a list price of just $100, and does not require a PC or wired connection to install or use. It will even scan wirelessly to Google Drive, and was far easier and faster to set up than the usual Windows printer driver routine.

    I might say Cloud Print is not so much as a "minor ding" as a very real advantage in the long run.
