This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Hard Drive Clicking

    I just got a Sony TR3AP2 and every so often the hard drive makes a clicking noise. Sometimes it happens every couple of minites or so. Mostly when it is on and not being used, it almost sounds like the Hard Drive is shutting down and than restarting. Similer to when you shut down the computer...

    Does anyone else have this laptop that can tell me if this noise is normal.
