I don't know of any duo core unit on the horizon. It may well be but any info was not shared at MSI's recent star forum.

As for the Dolby system, my understanding is that it is essentially the same product in white, they have simply gotten the MS-1022 "certified" by Dolby.

unleaded, it seems as though you're well respected in the msi forums (and on nbforums.com in general). you also seem to be very knowledgeable of msi's products. do you work for rawpowerpc.com? i ask because i was going to order an msi-1022 from rawpowerpc.com, through you, if you get any sort of commission for making the sell.

i also wanted one more opinion from you regarding the msi-1022. i am replacing my amd64 desktop with 2 gigs of ram, and an ati x800 pcix video card with this msi-1022, and was goign to go ahead and get at least 2ghz and max out the ram and get either the 60 gig 5400 or 7200rpm hd. in your opinion would this be sufficient for light gaming, and mostly programming/development (in visual studio 05) and photoshopping/freehanding?

thanks and i look forward to hopefully buying this awesome machine from you (or rawpowerpc.com in general).

hello all, I just built my first laptop off of the 1022.

I have an issue though. Whenever I try to get my laptop to do something like play a game. It will be fine for a while until something major graphically happens and then I get the blue screen and a restart... any ideas?

    Set up is this:

    1.73 Petium M 533
    1 stick of 1gb A-DATA V-Series 1GB DDR2 533 (PC2 4200)
    a Hitachi 5400 rpm 60gb HDD
    1022b MSI BB
