If you do not want to always carry around a huge bag and just need your laptop, a few accessories, andmaybe somedocuments then the tekmod notebook casefrom RadTech may be the solution for you. This bag features good protection, sveltedesign and auniquefeature that allows you towork on your laptopwith it still being in the case.
Thetekmod is simple to setup, if you just follow the instructions you will have your laptop situated inside in no time. The snaps on the bottom side of the bag are what provide the room for airflow under the laptop. Then the sides are completely open as can be seen in the picture, allowing air and ports to be free. The back opens up partially to provide airflow for the rear vents, and access to the ports. So keeping your laptop cool in this case should not be a problem.
Other features include the fold out stand that is built in to the bottom of the case and the front pouch and document holder.
The bag can also function as a traditional sleeve where you just slip the laptop in and out of the case for use instead of opening it up and using it there.
The bag is simple and quick to use. You just unzip the bag and you can start using the laptop right away. There is no need to take it out of the bag, and packing up is just the reverse. You just zip everything up and go. The bag is available in 7 different color combinations. Making some variety available, but still looking professional with each choice. The only complaint I have about the bag is that the shoulder strap is not very wellpadded, and if you have a machine that will actually fit inside of the case (15" -- 17") then it is very likely to be somewhat heavy. As a result, the bag can wear on your shoulder if you have to carry it far.
If all you need to carry is a laptop and a few extra items this bag may be perfect for you. However, if you are a student or someone that needs to carry a lot of books then you will want to look at another bag. One thing to pay attention tois the thickness restriction on the dimensions, it must fit within 15.5" x 11" x 2" (width x depth x height), if your laptop is bigger than those dimensions then you need to look at a larger sized bag.
While usingmy laptop with this bag, I received many compliments. In fact I frequently was asked what the bag was and where it could be purchased. I would recommend you consider this bag if it meets your needs for what has to be carried with your laptop and if it does not have to be carried on the shoulder for over a half a mile.
