OnLive is the proverbial too-good-to-be-true product: A gaming service that can play top-flight games on less than top-flight PCs, including netbooks. Does OnLive live up to any of its gaming-in-the-cloud promises? We break it down in this review.

    Nice review!

Things might change as OnLive matures - lowers the pricing, optimizes algorithms, supports bigger resolutions, etc.
If it's possible to solve the latency issues - I see a reason for GPU makers to worry, at least in perspective.

I wonder if there's an option to "Rent to own". LOL. Also, if you're going to pay 60 bucks for a game, they should install it on the ONLIVE PC and then send you the packaging/serials. Seriously!

AGREED!!! Along with the media, or "back-up" media, etc.

Good review, but I agree like you said, not worth paying exorbitant fees to play crappy games with crappy graphics and have lag. This is tantamount to playing the video games through your hotel TV, and paying 12 bucks for 10 minutes of Super Mario 64.

    Not worth it.

I heard a nasty little bit of info in another review, sorry if this was already mentioned, I've only skimmed the article, if you cancel your prescription, you need to rebuy the games =/

    Are you serious?

Ugh, leave it to the modern businessman to kill the golden goose before it's even laid an egg.

I was privileged to be one of the first users to sign up if I wanted but I did not, why you ask because if the points some posters already wrote about( need to be tethered,Internet speed, rebuy games, limited selection of games :()
It's sounds good in theory but not for me.
But I'm sure it's just like everything else it just needs to grow and change certain aspects of the service to be a compeling reason to sign up.
    Great review by the way.

Would be interesting...but considering the current Wired-requirements, and the fact that you could never have a proper keyboard/mouse interface for the iphone, it would be frustrating to say the least, lol.
