According to some people Oblivion is said to only run at 1fps on Ultra Low settings. Something about this did not sound right to me, so I decided to try out Oblivion on my x200m myself. People have been wondering "Will it play?", and some of the other responses were like "NO!". If you have reviewed other Threads on what the x200m can handle F.E.A.R has popped up on the list and thats a pretty Graphic Intensive game. Now no one has the right to say how it will run until proven tested.

    x200m and Oblivion
As said before I am going to test it, and here is my review:

My Toshiba Laptop holds the specs of a 64 Dedicated, 64 shared x200m. It has 512mb Ram, and holds a Dual core processor 1.6Ghz.

I have set Oblivion to Low (NOT Ultra Low) settings.
I "Did NOT" use the Oldblivion mod since the fact there would be a runtime error every time I would try to start it up.
I did in fact use some of the ini tweaks posted around to improve
performance, and also turned off grass to up the fps an extra 10fps.

According to Fraps Oblivion ran at a constant:
    13 - 34 fps outside, 15 - 50 fps inside

And finally at its best indoors running at a amazing 47fps

Well there you go, if you want to give Oblivion a try on your x200m go right ahead. But remember for best performance do ini tweaks and make sure to turn off grass for a big boost. The oldblivion mod at www.oldblivion.com could help alot although I could not test it.

    Thanks and have fun.

Glad for you that it will run and run ok. I have noticed some x200ms seem to be far more capable than others. Maybe it's dedicated ram, who knows.

I got FEAR to just about work on here but Battlefield 2 was a waste of time. Not that it matters as the only game i play is WoW and that runs just fine.

It all depend on which flavor of X200M you have. The dedicated ram versions are much better in performance than the solely shared ram ones. I have both and they are not in the same ballpark where gaming is concerned.

For a simple example, take Need For Speed: Most Wanted. Running at 800x600 in medium detail with AA on "lightly", the dedicated X200M handles it smoothly. On the shared version, you may as well disable AA right away because gameplay is noticeably choppy even without it (especially in high traffic or collision scenerios).

That being said, the X200M can still hold it's own, amazing considering that it is older than both the GMA950 and GeForce Go 6150.

Well I guess so, if it can run Oblivion it can run those too.

Congratulations on your accomplishment. I must say the game looks quite good on the integrated card.

Your RAM is what's hurting performance; if you get 1.5 - 2GB in there I would imagine performance would be significantly improved.
