Well, that sucks for them. Their drive reliability issues surely didn't help.

Wish the best for the OCZ workers.

OCZ's pre-SandForce drives were actually quite good in my experience.

Too bad that working people who had no part in management's poor decision process will be the ones to pay the price...

If that's the biggest problem that you have with my posts I'm quite content...

I happen to like Comic Sans...and the forum management were the ones who enabled its use by us mere mortals...so I guess you can either turn it off, ban me or both, whatever is deemed the easiest...

Considering i generally disagree with the majority of his posts (damn oldschoolers), the fact that he uses Comic Sans doesn't make me wanna like him more.

In use every day,a 3.5 year old OCZ Vertex 2(34nm) and a 2+ year old Vertex 3 MIOPS just keep on ticking.

Toshiba and SanDisk have a partnership so an OCZ purchase could be a bit about patents?

^^ That's entirely possible. I'm not aware of what major patents, if any, OCZ is really bringing to the game (probably some related to their PCI stuff?). I think it's likely more about marketing and brand recognition at the moment.

Probably stuff from its acquisition of Indilinx. The Vertex 4 SSD I had a while back was terrific. However, the bankruptcy is not entirely surprising as circumstances both within (Vertex NAND debacle, review blacklisting, poor support/customer service) and beyond (Sandforce) OCZ's control conspired to bring them down.

I completely forgot about the Indilinx buy, good point.
