The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Yesterday (5/5/2004) between 4:00 p.m. and midnight the NotebookReview.com server was basically down [} :)]. We're sorry for this inconvenience. NotebookReview.com shares a server with its sister site www.BargainPDA.com and a very popular tech focused website that gets millions of hits a day, SlashDot (www.slashdot.org) featured a link directly to us from the front of their site and we crumbled under the deluge of web traffic. We're working to improve bandwidth in the future so this does not happen again!
