    Toshiba launches New Tecra M2 Notebook for Business Users


    Toshiba has released a new notebook, the Tecra M2, a lightweight but powerful machine targeted at business user purchase. Equipped with an Intel Pentium M 1.6GHz, 14.1" display, 60GB Hard Drive, 512MB of DDR RAM (expandable to 2.048MB), NVIDIA GeForce FX Go5200 64MB card, 802.11g Wi-Fi, FireWire, Dual-pointing device and with a weight of less than 5lbs this laptop is quite enticing. Prices start at $1,699 for this configuration.

    Intel Prototype Notebooks features a notebook/desktop blend


    Intel will next week unveil three prototypenotebook devices, two will be concept business notebooks and another consumer targeted devicewill be ablend between a notebook and desktop machine. The notebook targeted at consumers will have a 17-inch wide-angle liquid crystal display and will look much like Sony's Vaio W series. The model will have a handle that allows it to be carried from room to room and will weigh 8 pounds.
