This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Notebook Component Makers Faring Better

    Makers of notebook components are seeing better sales thanks to rush orders from notebook companies, a DigiTimes report claims. In related news, contract notebook manufacturer Inventec did reasonably well in January becuse of rush orders from HP.
    A total of 7.2 million notebooks were shipped by the top five manufacturers in January; February shipments are expected to increase by 9.7% on-month.
