Northern Michigan University Rolls Out WiMAX
    [IMG]
Northern Michigan University has announced that it has rolled out a WiMAX network for students and staff. It is now live and will handle more than 3,000 WiMAX-enabled Lenovo laptops, which will provide connections to the network.

WiMAX is similar to WiFi, except it can transmit data over broader areas and with less interference. NMU's WiMAX network will cover nearly all of the City of Marquette.

Darn it, if they had this in my university I wouldn't be hopping to the only buildings that have wi-fi capability.
