That DreamCom 10 video reminds me of Transformers.

Also, I don't know about you guys, but the newegg link for the Everex doesn't work for me.

I think it's same as Ultimate since you can change the languages.
It's still available with the registry hack though :)

I saw the artist edition today, cool, I thought I wouldn't like it but I was almost buying it.

I love the look and I think it is truly cool.

For a second I thought that Everex would make for a pretty sweet couch-potato/internet browsing tool if I ever sell my G1s, but as someone pointed out in one of the links above, for 20 dollars more you can have a perfectly capable Vostro 1000 with XP on it:

    AMD AthlonTM 64 X2 Dual-Core processor TK-57 (1.9GHz/256KB)
    Genuine Windows® XP Home Edition
Microsoft® Works 9. Does NOT Include MS Word
15.4 inch Wide Screen XGA LCD Anti-Glare Display
1GB Shared Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 533MHZ, 2 Dimm
    80GB 5400RPM Hard Drive
8X DVD+/-RW with double-layer DVD+R write capability, Cyberlink Power DVD
    ATI Radeon® Xpress 1150 256MB HyperMemory™ (integrated)
    Dell Wireless 1395 802.11g Wi-Fi Internal Card
53 WHr 6-cell Lithium Ion Primary Battery

Despite what you said, the HP Pavillion range is still a tremendous success at retail. Even though the design is a couple years' old, it still looks fresh and new, especially when placed next to boring (and new) designs from Asus and Toshibas on the retail floor.

Isn't there a reason why Lenovo's Thinkpads, Sony's SZ and Apple's Macbook Pro's retain their designs for so long? That's because those designs have successfully met consumer tastes and still do.

I agree. The only thing attractive about it the Everex is the WXGA+ 1440x900 screen, which is a higher resolution than the standard WXGA 1280x800. However, the VIA processor doesn't cut it and 512MB/60GB is so 2004. $400 ain't that cheap.

That SanDisk FlashBack adapter sounds very interesting, and at only $30....? The linked article doesn't say what the storage capacity is, though.

You need a SD or SDHC card inside for it to work.

I like the dv8000t. I tried to order it today but had a brainfart and ordered the dv7000t. Thankfully I was able to cancel it even though the website says you can't.

I have never seen any computer/company as bad as Pavillion/HP. No quality; no customer service. They just get your money and tell ya go to hell.
