Nice article. :) One thing though: There's a typo:
"Logitech introduced its latest notebook mouse - the V550 Nano wireless laser mouse with a Clip-and-Go dock. The dock allows users to clip the notebook on the outside of their notebook."

It should be the mouse on the outside of the notebook. ;)

Just thought I'd point that out. :D

Why's it a typo? "their notebook" makes just as much sense as "the notebook", if not more.

He's saying they meant to say clip the MOUSE on the notebook, not clip the NOTEBOOK on the notebook.

I would LOVE to see a notebook clipped onto a notebook :D

It's an Acer, Acer gets all the garbage everyone else won't take at a very good price.

    It is HUGE though: Weight Starting at 4.07 lb (1.85 kg) and Dimensions (w x d x h) 13.3 x 9.7 x 1.21 in ( 338.0 x 246.4 x 30.8 mm). Maybe the dimensions are wrong on the HP site.

For comparison, the new Dell E6300 with a 14.1" screen is smaller: Weight Starting at: 4.3 lbs/1.95 kg6 and Width: 13.1"/335mm, Depth: 9.37"/238mm, Height: 1-1.2"/27/31mm

Gateway P-7811FX: What a deal! That price is impressive for such a notebook. I wonder, how is that even possible??

Logitech Clip and Go mouse: I wonder how that works? Do you have to attach an unsightly clip to the notebook lid?

HP Compaq 2230s: It's not often you come across a 12" ultraportable without spending a fortune. But HP has done just that: an inexpensive 12" notebook. It seems to bridge the gap between netBooks and most other ultraportables. Kudos to HP.

True to Acer's name, Gateway offers high spec'd (i didn't say top spec) laptops for a reasonable price. Now why didn't Acer launch a similar version under the Acer brand in Europe/Asia..

    I'd hit it. :)

Yea that HP looks really nice, although I would probably get the midrange model and at $1249 it's in X200 territory. This looks nicer than the X200 but the X200 is lighter and probably has a much nicer keyboard.

Hm... I see what you're getting at here, but I really wouldn't call that inexpensive. $999 still sounds like WAY too much for a low speced UMPC...

    Just my $0.02. :)

I agree, but the 2230s is also very inexpensive for a 12" non-netbook notebook IMO. Perhaps I should have said that it attempts to bridge the gap between a UMPC netbook and most other 12" notebooks.

Sorry for the lack of clarity in my previous post.

Any idea on battery life of the Compaq 2230 battery life on a 4 cell?
