Internet reaches over 100 million websites
The Internet has grown to over 100 million websites this month according to Internet monitoring firm Netcraft; new online stores and a tremendous increase in blogging has helped the growth. Services from Google and Microsoft that allow users to get their own domains for free has had a large impact on the number of new sites over the past few months.
In October, the number of websites on the Internet was about 98 million; at the beginning of November, the number reached 101 million. Over 175,000 blogs are created around the world on a daily basis - that's two per second.
In 2004, there were 50 million websites - in two short years, that number has more than doubled.

Golf does not have to end at the start of winter; practice with the help of your PC
Thanks to the Golf Launchpad USB Simulator for PC, golf does not have to end at the beginning of winter. Priced at a hefty $380, the Golf Launchpad hooks into your PC via a USB cable and works with the included Tiger Woods PGA Tour from EA Sports, which allows golfers to play on some of the best courses in the world. The tethered ball is strong enough to withstand the hit from a real golf club, and it also includes a swing analyzer.

I hate to dissapoint media, but I think I'd rather have an MSI-1057 in white.

I'm curious to see what the heck this new Dell Latitude 131L looks like. I seriously doubt it'll carry the same look as the current Latitude series, I'm guessing it'll look like the Inspiron B130, and not very exciting. I guess we'll find out tomorrow when they put it up.
-
I seriously wonder who will buy that Medion.
-
Didn't that golf accessory start out as a $1000+ gadget years back?
Unfortunately the product link takes you to a site that doesn't have any in stock.
Amazon.com has a PS2 version for $180 and a PC/Mac version for $250 (sold by other retailers through Amazon). No doubt better deals could be found. -

My school used to give out the 110Ls as student laptops and now they give out 120Ls (shipment is coming in this week for new students) which are the same thing as an Inspiron B120/B130. -
A Medion with crystals is still a Medion with crystals.
Who would buy it? The same people who put expensive rims and spinners on a 1982 Buick. I don't think those people tend to find computers very 'bling.' -
Neat golf simulation.

The actual retail price for the Golf Launchpad is 199 dollars for the PlayStation 2 Model and 249 dollars for the PC/Mac Model. You can check it out here www.electricspin.com.

Sweet the dell 131L latitude looks cool, It looks like the 1501 but has black trim and bumpers instead of the infamous white bumpers, I guess you could call it a low cost xps!

Ok... I stand corrected. But it's a good kind of wrong, I'm glad they'll looking like mini M90s.
-
I wish the 131L would have a dedicated option though, it would make it much more appealing, I really seems dell is trying to cripple their amd series. kinda sad. I also just noticed that you cant even get the TL 56 in the latitude but you can if you get the 1501 also if you chose the base model and decide to upgrade the sempron to the tl50 they want 270 bucks more and 300 to get the TL 52!!! what a rip! HP offers the TL 60 for like 200 bucks if I remember correctly, this comfirms that dell is being jerks and purposely trying to cripple the amds.

Well if you weren't a gamer and it didn't matter the AMD series might actually be more appealing a home or small business budgest laptop as far as integrated graphics go. The X1150 is better than the GMA950. But I agree it would be nice to see better graphics options. By far I think the biggest cripple for the AMD series particularly on the 1501 is the omission of the media keys on the front and thus the convience is lost. Really that hurts the 131L to because it wouldn't have any external volume controls. Just Fn keys to control volume. That would annoy me.

true but with their small biz special you can get a e1505 with a gig of ram 120gig hard drive, x1300 and a core duo t2300e all for 699, by the time you give the 1501 or the 131l a TL 50 to compete with the 2300 and a gig of ram, the amd will end up costing more. but if you compair the base 1501 to the B130 then it starts looking like a good deal.

Well the 131L is always going to more expensive because it's a Latitude while the e1505 is an Inspiron. They don't do the same kind of deals for the Latitudes they do for the Inspirons do they? As far as Latitudes go the Intel budget equivelant to the 131L is the 120L. If you compare the 131L to the 120L, I reckon the 131L beats the snot out of the 120L when it comes to features, inners, and price.
-
The 131L would probably make a decent machine considering if it wasn't for the weak IGP and processor.

When I saw the new design of the Latitude 131L, my jaw dropped.

Is Dell trying to give us a hint of what's to come? Notebook looks like a 15.4" XPS. Given Dell's reputation of re-using the same designs, I wouldn't be surprised. -
It's just a 1501 with black bumpers. It looks like the M90, but it's still a huge step down in my opinion. I don't think they should have made this computer. It's just a way for them to get more money out of this whole AMD deal.
